BlackBoard Support
Blackboard is a web-based learning management system used by UNC to deliver online or web-enhanced courses. Blackboard provides tools to create and administer online and face-to-face courses, including self-graded quizzes, discussion forums, chat, and grade maintenance. Blackboard course shells are automatically generated for all classes at UNC, with automatic access for listed instructors. Students are added to the shells prior to the beginning of each semester, based on enrollment data. Go to the UNC Blackboard site to see the courses assigned to you.
Because Blackboard is web-based, you don't need special software to access it, either as an instructor or a student. As long as you have an ONYEN, an internet connection, and an up-to-date browser (at least IE 6, Safari 3, or Firefox 2), you can use Blackboard. As an instructor, you can customize your courses, upload files, create online content, and keep track of student assignments and grades.
